Small constellations map out fragments of a love story, whether this is the beginning or the end of it is unknown. Playing on body language, color, and repetition, River Scenes studies fallible memories that have been picked apart, rearranged, and put back together — relationships at the intersection of intimacy and loneliness.
Julia Maiuri lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work has been exhibited at MAW (NY), Island Gallery (MN), Hair + Nails Gallery (MN), and The Porch Gallery (MN). Maiuri received a BFA from Wayne State University in 2013.
